Management Accountant | Growing Business | Blackpool (Excellent Commuter Links)

A fast-paced business based in Blackpool are looking to engage a Fully Qualified Management Accountant where you will  genuinely shape the finance function if the business. This is an exciting opportunity  working closely with an engaging and supportive Financial Controller who is passionate about developing their team.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key part in driving insight, improving processes, and supporting strategic decision-making across the group.

As Management Accountant you will be responsible for

• Leading the production of monthly management accounts across the group
• Delivering meaningful variance analysis and insightful commentary to support business performance
• Owning balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring strong financial controls
• Driving process improvements, streamlining month-end and reducing timelines
• Managing customer and supplier rebate calculations (monthly/quarterly)
• Preparing and submitting group VAT returns
• Producing weekly flash P&L reporting and leading internal performance calls
• Supporting audit and year-end processes, liaising with external auditors
• Assisting with corporation tax and R&D tax credit submissions
• Delivering ad hoc analysis to support key business decisions
• Acting as a true business partner to non-finance stakeholders
• Mentoring and developing an Assistant Accountant

The successful Management Accountant will be

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong technical grounding with a commercial mindset
• Confident communicator who can influence across the business
• Proactive, driven, and keen to improve processes and add value
• Experience in a fast-paced or multi-entity environment is advantageous
