Agility Resourcing has partnered with a large manufacturing company based in Blackpool who are recruiting a newly created Financial Controller. This is a high-profile opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, providing commercial insight, driving profitability and supporting strategic decision-making across a diverse international operation.

The Role

As Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of management reporting, financial controls, budgeting and forecasting while acting as a key business partner to operational teams. You'll provide meaningful analysis and recommendations that help shape business performance and support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the production of monthly management accounts, reporting and variance analysis
• Deliver detailed cost, margin and profitability analysis
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and strengthen financial controls
• Support group reporting, treasury management and tax compliance
• Manage statutory accounts preparation and external audits
• Partner with operational teams to improve performance, processes and profitability
• Identify efficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives, including the use of AI and technology

About You

• ACA, ACCA qualified
• Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience
• Commercially minded with excellent analytical skills
• Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and directors
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering or a multi-entity environment would be advantageous
• Proactive, ambitious and keen to make an impact
